4th Meridian Tournament
This past weekend, LMHA was proud to host the 4th Meridian Female Hockey Tournament, and we’re happy to share that it was a great success from start to finish.
The tournament ran smoothly, stayed on schedule, and featured strong competition across all age groups. We received plenty of positive feedback from our visiting teams, who especially appreciated the extra ice floods between games and the overall organization of the event. It was a busy weekend, but one that truly showcased what our association can do.
We want to Congratulate all the teams that competed all weekend. While no Lloydminster team brought home gold this year, our Blazers teams were competitive in every division and right in the hunt throughout the tournament. Final results were as follows:
U11
Gold – Sherwood Park
Silver – Blazers 482
Bronze – Blazers 484
U13
Gold – Sturgeon Fillies
Silver – Blazers 582
Bronze – Sherwood Park Fuzion
U15
Gold – Regina Rebels
Silver – Blazers 682
Bronze – Blazers 681
U18
Gold – Slave Lake Thunder
Silver – Blazers 781
Bronze – Blazers 782
Most importantly, this tournament would not have been possible without the incredible effort of our volunteers and organizers. From planning and scheduling to timekeeping, scorekeeping, ice prep, and everything in between, the commitment and teamwork shown was outstanding. Your time and dedication made this “massive” tournament run seamlessly, and we are extremely grateful.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, supported, and cheered on our athletes. Events like this strengthen our association and create great experiences for our players, families, and visiting teams.
Sincerely,
Lloydminster Minor Hockey Association
