Lloydminster Minor Hockey Updates:
Thank you to everyone that completed our latest survey regarding our developmental program.
The response was overwhelmingly positive! We are excited that we can get our players back on
the ice in some form. We know it is not the best case but it is a chance for them all to do
something they love and that they have missed!
The development sessions are going to start on Tuesday February 23rd and run for 6 weeks.
There will be two sessions each week per group. Each group will have a certified coach that has
stepped up to run these sessions. Coaches will be in contact with their players before the end of
the weekend to let them know their time slots.
Refunds/Credits: We are just finishing the final administrative details of the development
sessions. This will allow us to organize the credits to accounts and refunds, if needed. We will
be releasing a refund request document later next week.
We want to thank you for your patience. We know that it is a frustrating and definitely confusing
time, especially for our athletes. We were holding on to the hope that we would be able to have
some sort of a season, but it is just not in the cards.
LMHA belongs to Hockey Alberta, but we are governed by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
We have been working diligently with the city over the past few months to find the balance
between the two provinces for our association. It has had its challenges.
We are now very excited to offer these development sessions to end the 2020/21 season with
positive vibes of a strong start to the 2021/22 season!
We are looking forward to our arenas filling up with the sounds of hockey and loads of laughter!
See you at the rink!
